India has imposed anti-dumping duties on plastic processing machines that are imported from China and Taiwan for a period of five years, the central board of indirect tax and customs (CBIC) said in a notification issued on Thursday.The duty was imposed following the recommendation by the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) to protect the domestic industry from unfair trade practices.

In a separate notification, the CBIC clarified that mica pearlescent pigments used in the automobile sector will not attract countervailing duty imported from China and the anti-dumping duty will depend on the grade of pigment.
